OUR FEMALE FAMILIES
We have tried to put together many of the femle families that have done well as possible. In the past we haven’t been religious with naming all our girls after their dam introducing a few new names as did those before us on occasion but we have decided not to do this in the future. Our main female family lines are detailed below however have only included one animal as an example.

The Heathers go back to Comfort Hill Heather out of Torro Negro Lady Heather. They are very correct, productive and docile and we are pleased to have them in our herd.
This cow family has also a high reputation form Merrigrange and others. Our Vicky are very fertile.
This cow family, imported from NZ by Banquet is making an impact on a number of herds. Stephen Branson said of his original import Dream “It’s her ability to breed-on that put Dream up there, it’s the quality and consistency for her progeny for generations,”
We are very impressed with our Velvet’s although we do not know much about them other than they go back to South Australian Roseleigh stud.
This family originated at Te Mania and they are nice big performing cows for us.
This family originated at Summitcrest.
The Flower family are held in very high regard. They go back to Boonara Flower.
Beaty family go back to Glenock Beauty.
Japara family come from Te Mania.
Pagtriot family get their name from sire Lord Patriot, the corner stone cow wa 97 with 55 progeny.

DAMS OF BULLS USED BY AI
We do a fair bit of artificial insemination to ensure genetic diversity and use proven bulls with particular attributes we value. We consider the dams of these and also past walking bulls to be very important also.
